What will you do as shift leader?
To make the best and healthiest juices and smoothies, it is important that the production process keeps running smoothly and that the activities required for this are well coordinated. As Shiftleader of the Pre-processing, Filling and HPP or Labelling department, you and your team of 20 - 50 employees will ensure that the department's goals in terms of safety, employee satisfaction, quality, productivity, availability and sustainability are met every day, every shift. You will report to the production manager.
You do this by:
- Making your team stronger by ensuring clear instructions and coaching the assistant shift managers, operators and production staff. You ensure that knowledge is present on ‘the floor’.
- Making a strategic personnel planning in which quality and quantity are guaranteed and aligned with the organisational goals.
- Determining and managing tasks, responsibilities and authorities.
- Setting up and participating in consultation structures within the department and participating in cross-departmental consultations.
- Pursue performance improvement. You direct people and encourage ownership, commitment and motivation and steer on KPIs.
- Keeping a cool head if something goes wrong and making decisions necessary to keep the process going.
- Always looking for and implementing structural improvements.
- Applying process improvement techniques such as Lean, Six Sigma, TPM in such a way that it leads to an effective and efficient production process.
- Working in accordance with the applicable quality requirements such as HACCP, BRC and ISO and being well aware of the food safety conditions that apply as well as embedding and securing this (food) safety culture.
The position is in 2 shifts from Monday to Friday from 06:00 am - 15:00 pm and from 15:00 pm to 24:00 pm.

A salary of up to €4.875 per month based on 40 hours per week excluding shift bonuses

What do you bring?
This position fits well with people-oriented leaders who enjoy managing and professionalising a production team. As the ideal candidate, we are therefore looking for a builder who recognises the following points:

You bring several years of managerial work experience in a (food) production environment, for example as a line manager, team leader or shift leader

You have at least a completed MBO level 4 education and preferably supplemented with courses in the field of leadership such as situational leadership

You are pragmatic and proactive by nature and have a coaching style of leadership

You have gained experience in independently guiding and implementing absence issues, strategic workforce planning, development programmes, onboarding programmes and change processes

You maintain overview and composure in a dynamic production environment and take action where necessary

You have good computer skills and are well versed in MS Office
-
You are analytically strong and organisationally sensitive.

You are communicatively strong and have a good command of the Dutch and English languages, both verbally and in writing

Start your day
You start the day by going through the schedule and agreeing priorities together with your team. You make sure the assistant shiftleaders, operators and production workers start their day motivated!

Morning
You take care of resolving unexpected issues to keep production running smoothly and keep a close eye on KPIs.

Afternoon
At the end of your shift, you ensure that all administrative tasks have been completed and put all relevant data into the system. You then ensure a proper handover with the afternoon shift. g
